Apexa AI ("we", "our", or the "app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is accessed, collected, used, stored, and secured when you use our mobile application and related web services.
1. Data We Collect
To offer personalized AI-powered fitness and nutrition coaching, Apexa AI collects the following:
- Account Info: Your email address, username, and profile preferences.
- Nutrition Logs: Logged meals and analyzed food macros.
2. Health Data
Apexa AI accesses and processes health and fitness data. This section describes how that data is handled, as required for apps that use Apple HealthKit and Android Health Connect.

- Steps and daily activity
- Active calories burned
- Heart rate (during workouts and when synced from your device)
- Weight and height
- Exercise and workout sessions
- Age and fitness profile details you provide during onboarding
How we access health data
Health data is accessed only after you grant permission through your device's native health platform: Apple HealthKit on iOS or Google Health Connect on Android. You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. We do not access health data without your explicit consent.
How we collect health data
- When you choose to sync health data during onboarding or in the app
- When you log workouts or track daily activity within the app
- When background sync is enabled, step counts may be updated periodically to keep your daily targets current
- When you manually enter profile details such as weight, height, or age
How we use health data
- Generate AI-driven, personalized workout and nutrition recommendations
- Track daily step, calorie, and water targets
- Display workout performance, including heart rate during active sessions
- Power leaderboard and progress features you choose to participate in
- Improve app performance and user experience
We do not use health data for advertising, insurance eligibility, employment screening, or selling to third parties.
3. Sharing with Third Parties
Your personal and health data is never sold, shared, or leased to third-party advertisers or commercial entities. Data is stored in our secure database infrastructure (Firebase). We do not share health data with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g., cloud hosting) or as required by law.
4. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our servers. Health data is stored only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
5. Data Deletion
You maintain full ownership of your data. You can permanently delete your account and associated records at any time via Profile > Delete Account in the app. Alternatively, submit your data deletion request to support@apexa.xyz.
